American professional coach, Bud Grant was the first person to be inducted into both the CFL Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He spent 28 seasons as a head coach and took the Minnesota Vikings to four Super Bowl finals.

In high school, he played three sports – football, baseball, and basketball – where he won nine letters. He played both basketball and football professionally. He was drafted by the Minneapolis Lakers of the National Basketball Association and the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He played both sports for two straight seasons.

“We are absolutely devastated to announce legendary Minnesota Vikings head coach and Hall of Famer Bud Grant passed away this morning at age 95. We, like all Vikings and FL fans, are shocked and saddened by this terrible news,” Minnesota Vikings official Twitter page posted.
