Craig went to Ukraine in order to deliver medical supplies, and defence equipment to the troops, and also because his wife is Ukrainian.

Who Is Craig Williams?

Craig Williams is a professional jockey, who has won several G1 races in Australia and the world.

Born on May 23, 1977, Craig made his first race in 1993, and won the Melbourne Cup in 2019.

In 2011, Craig won the Caulfield Cup, and Cox Plate on Southern Speed and Pinker Pinker respectively, during the Bendigo Cup.

During the 2012 Caulfield Cup, Craig rode the horse Dunaden and achieved a victory, with a weight of 58 kg.

Before then, no horse had ever won the Caulfield Cup from wider than barrier 15.

As of 2021, Craig had ridden 1,939 winners, including 61 G1 winners. He is also a five-time winner of the Scobie Breasley Medal.

Craig and fellow jockey champion Jamie Kah were recently involved in a race fall at Flemington.

Kah had become unconscious almost immediately, while Craig sustained a fractured collarbone, broken ribs, fractured finger and concussion.

Craig is now hospitalized at The Alfred hospital.
