What happened to Benjamin Bratt and Julia Roberts?

Benjamin Bratt an American actor and producer was in a relationship with actress Julia Roberts from 1998 to 2001.

The former couple met in a restaurant in 19997. “Bratt walked in, and I looked up at him, and it was like something hit me over the head with a bat,” Roberts told Vanity Fair of the encounter.

After nearly 4 years together, Bratt’s publicist confirmed in June 2001 that he and Roberts were “no longer together.”

Julia Roberts cleared the air on the Late Show with David Letterman shortly after her separation from Bratt. “It’s come to a kind and tenderhearted end, and my only regret is that the media can’t accept that it’s kind and tenderhearted,” she said of the breakup.

Julia Roberts continued in a wonderfully diplomatic manner, saying, “Benjamin is my favourite. He’s a fine man, a good man.”

“To the delight of the female single population, he is no longer my man. Parting is sad, but it is true, and it is not ugly because of anyone else. That’s all there is to it. We’re both just two kids trying to make our way through life.”
