Sharp reportedly made the remark while presenting the awards ceremony in front of 400 people, according to a story by Deadline.

Conference News “disavows” Sharp’s “unscripted” comment, which “does not represent the ideas that we seek to promote as a business,” a spokeswoman for the firm stated in a statement.

During the Conference News Agency Awards in London earlier in March, Sharp reportedly spoke about a woman’s breasts, according to US entertainment publication Deadline. Thereafter, the presenter claimed he was “really sorry.”

Pat Sharp was scheduled to leave his radio program at the end of the month, but he is now leaving the airwaves sooner than anticipated.

DJ Pat Sharp is best known in the UK for his work on the kids’ ITV show Fun House and his lengthy radio career.

In the 1980s, he gained further popularity in mainland Europe as a Sky Channel VJ and host of the Coca-Cola Eurochart Top 50 and Nescafé UK Top 50.
