Patrick Ewing is a Jamaican-American basketball coach and former professional player who played for the Knicks from 1985-86 to 1999-00, the SuperSonics in 2000-01 and the Magic in 2001-02.

Patrick Ewing led the Knicks in points, rebounds, blocked shots and steals during his 15-year career. The centre from Jamaica finished his career with 24,815 points, 11,607 rebounds, and 2,894 blocked shots.

He is 20th all-time in points and seventh in defensive rebounds and blocks in NBA history. He also appeared in 11 NBA All-Star games, including 10 straight from 1988 to 1997.
The franchise retired his number, 33, in February 2003. After the 2001-2002 season, Ewing announced his retirement from the game.
He was named to the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team and has two Olympic gold medals (’84, ’92). Despite never winning the NBA championship, Ewing led the Knicks to the NBA Finals in 1994 and 1999.
