Patrick Ewing, a Jamaican-American basketball coach and former professional was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, twice (in 2008 for his career and in 2010 as a member of the 1992 Olympic team).

In addition, as a member of the “Dream Team,” he was inducted into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame in 2009. The Knicks retired his number 33 in 2003.
Ewing was a three-time All-American at Georgetown and reached the NCAA tournament championship game in three of his four years there.

Ewing began his illustrious career with the Knicks, where he was named NBA Rookie of the Year in 1986. The seven-footer contributed right away, averaging 20 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks per game.
The Knicks appeared in the NBA Finals twice (1994 and 1999) during his tenure. He won Olympic gold medals as a member of the 1984 and 1992 United States men’s Olympic basketball teams.
Patrick Ewing was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996 and as one of the 75 Greatest Players in NBA History in 2021.
