Clare Balding was confirmed in the Church of England while at school, but doesn’t really consider herself a part of any organised religion now.

In an interview with Kira Cochrane, Clare Balding said;

“I believe that I am spiritual and that I can sense my desire to live properly and take pride in my accomplishments.

I believe that this is significant. Do I actually require a church to tell me that? In reality, I don’t… It makes me sound extremely deserving to say, “I want to be a really decent person,”

It can be deduced from her comments that she is focused on making correct choices and that she doesn’t need organized religion to live properly.
