Mark Adams is an American college basketball coach who is the coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders men’s basketball team.

Mark Adams earns an annual salary of $1.9 million. Mark Adams is now on a five-year, $15.5 million contract that runs through the 2026-27 season. It represented a 55% increase from the original deal he signed.
Adams’ total compensation is at $3 million for this season and increases by $50,000 annually to $3.05 million in 2023-24, $3.1 million in 2024-25, $3.15 million in 2025-26 and $3.2 million in 2026-27.

Mark Adams agreed to a five-year, $10 million contract with incentives after replacing Chris Beard in April 2021.
Under that contract, his annual salary was to be $1.9 million in the first year, $1.95 million the second, $2 million the third, $2.05 million the fourth, and $2.1 million the fifth.
Adams is well known for his defensive coaching abilities and has been named one of the country’s top defensive coaches.
In his first season as head coach, Adams led Texas Tech to a 27-10 record and the NCAA tournament, where they lost to Duke in the Sweet Sixteen. Tech finished the 2022-23 season with a 16-15 record and a ninth-place finish in the Big 12.
