2007 Hungarian Grand Prix: Why did Alonso stop Hamilton?
The qualifying sessions were marred by controversy when Hamilton failed to honor an agreement to allow Alonso to pass on track, denying Alonso a competitive advantage while setting his lap time.
In retribution, despite the lifting of the lollipop, the world champion remained still in his pit box, preventing Hamilton from completing a final qualifying lap.
Alonso, of course, did and promptly took pole, but he has penalized five positions for his act of vengeance.
