With the resignation of Otmar Szafnauer, Aston Martin has selected Mike Krack as its team principal, the Formula One team announced on Friday.

Krack comes from BMW, where he was the head of the German automaker’s global motorsport branch. He formerly worked in Formula One for Swiss-based Sauber.

He will now work with four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel, who made his F1 debut in 2007 with BMW-Sauber and drives for Aston Martin alongside Canadian Lance Stroll.
