Lord Farquaad was born to a human mother (Pea) and a dwarf father (Grumpy). He is a fictional character who appears in the 2001 DreamWorks animated feature  film “Shrek.”

Lord Farquaad is the short-in-stature, ruthless ruler of Duloc. Lord Maximus Farquaad is the main antagonist of the 2001 animated film Shrek, as well as Shrek 4-D and the musical.

Lord Farquaad’s character is voiced by John Lithgow. Farquaad’s birthday is stated to be on April 15th. In the original Broadway production of Shrek The Musical, the role was played by Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber.

Outside of the film series, Lord Farquaad appears in the Universal Studios Theme Parks ride Shrek 4-D and its comic book adaptation by Dark Horse Comics.

In the animated film, Lord Farquaad is portrayed as a comically evil character with his appearance and mannerisms being that of classic fairy tale villains.
