In the films, Lord Farquaad orders all fairy tale creatures to be rounded up and sent to live in a designated area called “Shrek’s swamp.” He also tortured Gingy by ripping his legs off to reveal the locations of the remaining fairy tale creatures.
Lord Farquaad is the short-in-stature, ruthless ruler of Duloc. Lord Maximus Farquaad is the main antagonist of the 2001 animated film Shrek, as well as Shrek 4-D and the musical.
Lord Farquaad’s character is voiced by John Lithgow. Outside of the film series, Lord Farquaad appears in the Universal Studios Theme Parks ride Shrek 4-D and its comic book adaptation by Dark Horse Comics.
