Steve Mackey was a bassist in the alternative rock band Pulp. Steve Mackey and his wife stylist Katie Grand had a son together.

Their son Marley was born in 1996. The family lived in North London w until his death. Steve Mackey died on the morning of March 2nd, 2023. He was 56 years old.
Steve Mackey’s cause of death has not been disclosed as of this writing. However, Mackey’s wife, stylist Katie Grand, revealed that he had been hospitalized in recent months.
Steve Mackey was born in the South Yorkshire town of Sheffield. He attended Hucklow First and Middle Schools with his friend Richard Hawley in his early years. They would later collaborate as members of the band Pulp.

Mackey became a member of the alternative rock band in 1989, alongside frontman Jarvis Cocker and fellow musicians Russell Senior, Candida Doyle, Nick Banks, and Mark Webber.
He was also a producer, working with artists such as The Kills and Cornershop. He also contributed to Florence + The Machine’s critically acclaimed debut album Lungs (2009).
Outside of music, Mackey appeared in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005 as one of The Weird Sisters, a fictional rock band.
