Do they still publish Dr. Seuss books?

Children’s books authored by Dr. Seuss are still in publication, however, some selected six most popular books – And To Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat’s Quizzer – have stopped publication due to racial and stereotypical elements found in them by teachers and other people in academia.

Ceasing sales of these books is only part of our commitment and our broader plan to ensure Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ catalog represents and supports all communities and families,” the company announced.

Dr. Seuss himself reportedly had a history of expressing his racial biases and hate towards other races, dating way back to the 1920s. It was reported that while he was a student at Dartmouth College, he once drew Black boxers as gorillas and perpetuated Jewish stereotypes by portraying Jewish characters as financially stingy.
