- And To Think I Saw It on Mulberry Street.
- If I Ran the Zoo.
- McElligot’s Pool.
- On Beyond Zebra!
- Scrambled Eggs Super!
- The Cat’s Quizzer.

These books have been scrapped from the company’s publication list after several feedback from teachers, specialists, and people working in academia, as well as experts reviewing the work of famous children’s books, shared that there are several elements of racist comments and lines in them.

“Ceasing sales of these books is only part of our commitment and our broader plan to ensure Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ catalog represents and supports all communities and families,” the company announced.
According to a study published in 2019, 50 of Dr. Seuss’ books were examined and 43 out of 45 characters of color have “characteristics aligning with the definition of Orientalism or the stereotypical, offensive portrayal of Asia.”
In the book, The Cat’s Quizzer, the Japanese character is called “a Japanese,’ has a bright yellow face, and is standing on what appears to be Mt. Fuji,” Dr. Seuss wrote.
