According to reports, Michael Mando has been sacked from the upcoming Ridley Scott drama series Sinking Spring on Apple TV+. Michael Mando is best known for his lead role in AMC’s Better Call Saul, a Breaking Bad prequel. According to THR, Mando was fired from the series, which also stars Brian Tyree Henry, following an “on-set incident” with a cast member.

The other person involved in the “event,” who was not yet identified, was one of the series’ other co-stars, including Ving Rhames, Kate Mulgrew, and Marin Ireland. Wagner Moura, most recently of Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, Shining Girls, and the expanded Narcos universe of episodes, will take Mando’s spot on the show.

Manny Cespedes, a longtime buddy of Ray’s played by Henry, who becomes entangled in the chaos of a plot to loot a house while posing as a DEA agent, will be played by Moura. The show is being made as part of Scott’s ongoing agreement with Apple and is based on the Dennis Tafoya book Dope Thief. Top Gun: Maverick writer Peter Craig is serving as the showrunner.
