Gideon demonstrates that he has knowledge about the Mandalorian and his allies by being the first character in the narrative to disclose the Mandalorian’s real name, Din Djarin.

In the climactic sequence of “Chapter 8: Redemption,” the first season finale, it is revealed that Gideon is the owner of the Darksaber, a Mandalorian lightsaber.

Who is the enemy of The Mandalorian?

The commander of the remaining Imperial forces and the main foe in The Mandalorian is Moff Gideon. His past has only been partially revealed. He participated in earlier attempts to exterminate the Mandalorians as an agent of the Imperial Security Bureau, the Empire’s covert intelligence agency and secret police.
