Who Was Abby Choi? Body of model, 28, found dismembered in fridge

Abby Choi was a Hong Kong model and socialite. Her body was reportedly cut up and put in soup pots.

Police made a horrifying discovery among soup pots earlier in a house rented by the model Abby Choi’s father-in-law.

The body of Abby was found brutally dismembered with parts left in a refrigerator at the rented home in the beachside village of Lung Mei, about a half-hour drive from the city centre.

According to Police Superintendant Alan Chung, when they broke into the house on Friday afternoon, they found the victim’s ID card, credit cards, and two legs in the refrigerator.

The soup pots were said to contain human tissue, however, the victim’s head, torso, and hands were not absent from the scene.

The house was found to be equipped with choppers, a hammer, an electric saw, a meat grinder, and other tools, following a search by the police on Friday.

The police have detained Abby’s former husband, his parents, and his brother following a citywide search. She was last seen alive on Tuesday in Tai Po, a short drive from the house where her remains were discovered.

Abby Choi earlier appeared on the cover of L’Officiel Monaco this month. The police informed that the attack was “well-planned” and “premeditated” and post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to determine the cause of death.
