Oyibo Chukwu was a Nigerian Lawyer and politician who was the Senatorial Candidate for the Labour Party. He was reported dead after officials found out that he was gunned down by gunmen and bandits who also left his convoy in ashes.

Chukwu was returning from his last campaign trip from the Agbani area when he was attacked by unknown gunmen and killed on the spot. Sources report that he was also burned inside the car along with three other people who were in his car.

Officials of the party have shared that they suspect a fowl play from the opposition party because their candidate stood a great chance of winning the forthcoming election which is scheduled to take place this Saturday. February 25, 2023.
“It is a devastating development for us. We are suspecting political assassination because he was favored to win the elections,” Labour Party chairman from Enugu South local area, Chinwuba Ngwu said.
