During his recent visit before his death, he was accompanied by his father and brother Samiel, who met the Eritrean President, Isaiah Afewrki. They also met and sat with the Ministry of Information to conduct an interview about his life and growing up in a gang-related community.
“I am here to visit my family and reconnect with my grandmother, my cousins, and everybody else. I love to be here. The people, the food, the culture, and the lifestyle are extremely good,” he said during the interview.
Nipsey was shot and killed near his clothing store.
