Who Is Sherri Shepherd?

Sherri Shepherd is an actress, comedian, author, and TV personality.

Born on April 22, 1967, in Chicago, Shepherd made her acting debut in 1995, with the sitcom Cleghorne! where she appeared as Victoria Carlson.

Shepherd became famous when she played Sheila Yarborough on The Jamie Foxx Show.

She later starred in other sitcoms like Suddenly Susan, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Jamie Foxx Show, Less than Perfect, Sherri, Trial & Error, and Mr. Iglesias.

As a presenter, Shepherd plays host on the  daytime talk show, Sherri, having previously hosted other shows like The View, and Dish Nation. She also served as guest host on The Wendy Williams Show.

In 2022, Shepherd began hosting the talk show, Sherri, as a replacement for Wendy.

As a writer, Shepherd authored the book Permission Slips: Every Woman’s Guide to Giving Herself a Break.
