Unfortunately, Frontotemporal Dementia does not have any treatment or cure yet. Therefore, it is very difficult to ensure that the illness is properly treated when diagnosed. However, some sources believe that there are ways to “manage” the symptoms. Some of these ways include changes in behavior, speech, and movement. Other sources also believe that antidepressants like trazodone can help manage FTD.

Which celebrity has Frontotemporal Dementia?

The family of retired American actor, Bruce Willis has announced that the talent actor has been diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia, but unfortunately, there is no cure for it.

 

“Today [Thursday, February 16, 2023], there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead. As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shinning a light on his disease that needs far more awareness and research,” a statement from the family read.
