Former professional baseball player, Tim McCarver who transitioned to a television broadcaster after retiring from the MLB, also retired from broadcasting  in April 2022. He was the voice of the World Series and the voice of baseball for several fans across the world. According to reports, he covered 20 All-Star Games and 23 World Series before his retirement.
