Zia Mohiuddin, a British-Pakistani actor, director, producer, and voice actor, died on Monday, 13 February 2023 at the age of 91.

From 1953 to 1956, Muhyiddin had his training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. He later performed on stage in productions of “Julius Caesar” in 1957 and “A Passage to India” in 1960.

In 1962, Muhyiddin became the first actor from Pakistan to appear in a Hollywood film when he appeared in the British classic “Lawrence of Arabia.”

Alongside Peter O’Toole and Omar Sharif, he portrayed Tafas, Lawrence’s unfortunate Arab guide, in the movie.

Zia Mohyeddin was treated in a hospital in Karachi after being ill for a number of days.

Family members report that Muhyiddin passed away this morning, February 13. He passed away during an operation at a private hospital due to an internal artery rupture.

There hasn’t been any other information disclosed about his passing yet.
