The English poet Geoffrey Chaucer was the first to record St. Valentine’s Day as a day of romantic celebration in his 1375 poem “Parliament of Foules.”

Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is a holiday traditionally associated with the celebration of romantic love and affection. Anything you do should be associated with showing love.

Things to do on Valentine’s Day may include: starting a couple’s bucket list, eating breakfast in bed, dancing to Your song, recreating Your first date, and eating a fancy dinner out among others.

Valentine’s Day is often marked by customs like the exchange of cards, gifts, confectionery and flowers between couples or individuals who are romantically interested in each other.

The celebration of Valentine’s Day has, however, been banned in Indonesia, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia due to beliefs the holiday conflicts with Islamic culture.
