A boy and a girl, both fifteen years of age, have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Brianna Ghey, a 16-year-old girl who was found dead with multiple stab wounds at a park in Warrington.

According to The BBC, the arrested teenagers who are being held in custody are from the local area.
Chesire Constabulary Detective Chief Supt Mike Evans indicated that inquiries were under way and that police are trying to establish the “exact circunmstances” which led to Brainna Ghey’s gruesome murder.

“At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that the circumstances surrounding Brianna’s death are hate related,”
“Patrols have been stepped up in the local area and officers will remain in the Culcheth area to provide reassurance and address any concerns that residents may have.”

Brianna Ghey was a 16-year-old girl who was stabbed to death in a Warrington park.
Brianna Ghey’s body was found on Saturday, February 11, 2023 on a path at Linear Park in Culcheth, Warrington, by members of the public, who alerted the police at 3.13pm.
Cheshire Police indicated that Brianna Ghey was declared dead at the scene; her body had multiple stab wounds.
