Who Was Ekam Sadana? Schoolboy dies after being hit by lorry on A2

Ekam Sadana was a 16-year-old schoolboy who died after stepping in front of an HGV on the A2 in Kent in September 2022.

Ekam Sadana was reported missing after he made a “worrying” call to his family while they were away in Paris. However, he was eventually found at the side of the road near the junctions of Cobham and Gravesend.

Ekam Sadana earlier informed his mother that he was “low and lonely” while staying at a friend’s house with his sister. A suicide note was later discovered on his phone. After suffering multiple injuries due to the road traffic collision, he died.

Speaking told KentOnline, Ekam Sadana’s parents Gagan and Arshan Gulati expressed their pain:

“We will never be able to recover and come to terms with what has happened. Life has changed forever for us. Words will never be enough to express how challenging it is to live knowing he’s not coming back.”

“He was a loving brother and a devoted son, a person who got on well with everyone in his family and friends.”
