Scottish rugby player Finn Russell, who was born on September 23, 1992, competes for French side Racing 92 as a fly-half or center. In time for the 2023–24 Premiership Rugby season, he will transfer to the English team Bath Rugby.

Russell made his Scotland debut at the international level in 2014. He has since participated in two tours with the British & Irish Lions, gaining a test cap in 2021.Russell began his rugby career at Stirling County before transferring to second-tier Falkirk in 2011 to increase his chances of playing first XV club rugby.

Russell represented Scotland in the 2012 World Rugby U20 Championships as a center. After the IRB Championship, Russell was chosen to represent Ayr, aiding them in their 2012–13 Scottish Premiership league and cup double.

Russell joined Glasgow Warriors in 2012, although his debut season there was cut short by injury. Russell received the John Macphail Scholarship in 2013 and, while studying Lincoln University in New Zealand’s South Island, spent 15 weeks playing for neighborhood clubs in the Christchurch area.

He had access to facilities and skilled coaching through the international high performance unit of the Canterbury Rugby Football Union.
