Welsh rugby referee Nigel Owens is considered the best rugby referee ever.
Owens who doubles as a media personality, currently has refereed the most test matches ever held in the world.
Born on June 18, 1971, Owens works as a TV host at the S4C Welsh language chat shows Jonathan and Bwrw’r Bar.

Owens began his career as a referee in 1987, making his debut as a 16-year old boy in a game between Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire.
In 2017, Owens made his 150th Pro12 appearance and his 100th international match was during the Autumn Nations Cup game between France and Italy, and is the only referee to achieve such feat.
Owens retired from the game of rugby in December 2020, after a successful career spanning 17 years.
He now works as a commentator for S4C, a role he took up in 2022.
