Did John Lydon have singing lessons?
John Lydon had singing lessons for the first time since one of his teachers told him he could not hold a note in 1976.

“I’ve been singing for 40 years, and yet I was really worried about hitting a bum note in practice. You have to get notes perfectly right for what it is and not just run away with Rottenisms. I found myself bouncing around, learning dance moves. It was an alien world for me, taking orders from directors, but it worked out really well,” he said.
“I’m not what you would call a note-perfect singer. But there ain’t many who can do what I can do either. I’ve got a different range and register, a completely different understanding to music. There’s a skill in that,” he added.
