John Lydon Pink Floyd: Does Lydon like Pink Floyd?

English singer-songwriter, John Lydon has said that it is nearly impossible to hate Pink Floyd because they have done great stuff. He has disclosed his love for the band on several occasions.

“You’d have to be daft as a brush to say you didn’t like Pink Floyd, they’ve done great stuff. There was an aura of ‘Oh, we’re so great there’s no room for anybody else, however, they have done rubbish too,” he said.

“There was a kind of misreading and misrepresentation in the press and they’re not holier than thou… Dave Gilmour I’ve met a few times and I just think he’s all right bloke,” he added.

According to Lydon, he loves ‘Dark Side of the Moon,’ and two years ago, when the surviving members of Pink Floyd were in Los Anegeles, they asked him to come on and do a bit of it with them.

“The idea thrilled me no end. I came so close to doing it… it felt like I was trying to set myself up as some kind of pretentious person. I’m warry of jam-session end of things,” he said.
