“When you lose a person you admire, it’s like you lose your reflection. I will always keep her in my heart, the affection, the love, all the teachings,” Archangelo said.
The Brazilian President, Luiz Lula Da Silva also paid tribute to the singer.
“It is with great sadness that I receive the news of the death of Gloria Maria, one of the greatest journalists in the history of our television. Gloria was a reporter at important moments in Brazil and the world, she interviewed big names and left her mark in the memory of Brazilian men and women. She was the first reporter to make a live entry on Jornal Nacional and became an eternal on the programs Fantastico and Globo Reporter. My hug and solidarity with family, friends, colleagues, admirers of your career,” he wrote.
