Nanny McPhee also taught the children in the film: To sleep when they should sleep, get up when they are told, get dressed when they are told, to listen and completely obey their parents’ commands.

The film “Nanny McPhee” stars Emma Thompson as Nanny McPhee, Colin Firth as Cedric Brown and Angela Lansbury as Great-Aunt Lady Adelaide Stitch.
Cedric Brown is a widowed farmer (played by Colin Firth) with seven mischievous children who have already chased away 17 nannies due to their bad behaviour and pranks.
The film is based on a series of children’s books by Christianna Brand specifically on the Nurse Matilda character. After a mysterious voice tells Cedric to hire Nanny McPhee, she arrives at the Brown home and helps the children learn to behave properly. A sequel, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang was released in 2010.
