Thomas Miller an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter best known by his stage name Tom Verlaine has died.

Verlaine was born on December 13, 1949 and died on January 28, 2023 at age 73.

Details have not been given about Tom Verlaine’s death.
However, the legendary guitarist and frontman of the New York City Rock Band Television was reported to have died after a short illness.
Among those paying tribute to Verlaine was Mike Scott of The Waterboys, who tweeted:

“He was the best rock and roll guitarist of all time, and like Hendrix could dance from the spheres of the cosmos to garage rock. That takes a special greatness.”

The Neon Boys reformed as Television a few months later, finding a guitarist in Richard Lloyd, and began playing at seminal punk clubs like CBGB and Max’s Kansas City.
