Arnaut Danjuma had a persistent ankle injury at Club Brugge and his  2022/23 campaign had been plagued by an ankle injury.

Arnaut Danjuma is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for La Liga club Villarreal, and the Netherlands national team.

Arnaut Danjuma his debut for Club Brugge on 22 July in the 2018 Belgian Super Cup. On 3 October, Arnaut Danjuma scored a goal against Atlético Madrid in a 3–1 loss in the Champions League group stage.

After joining La Liga club Villarreal, Arnaut Danjuma scored his first goal for the club in a 1–1 draw with reigning league champions Atlético Madrid on 29 August.

Arnaut Danjuma was first called up for the Dutch national team by Ronald Koeman in October 2018 and later made his debut on 13 October in a 3–0 UEFA Nations League home win over Germany.

Arnaut Danjuma scored his first international goal on 16 October 2018 to equalise in a 1–1 friendly draw away to neighbours Belgium.
