Elissa “Ellie” Downie is a former artistic gymnast who represented the United Kingdom.

Ellie Downie is the daughter of Tony and Helen Downie. Her parents have been a huge influence and support in her gymnastics career, from the early days of training to competing in major competitions, they were always there to encourage and support her.
They allowed her to train and compete at the highest level, allowing her to grow into the talented gymnast she is today.
Ellie and her sister Becky Downie are the family’s pride, and their parents have been very supportive and proud of their daughter’s accomplishments.

She is the 2017 European gymnastics all-around champion, and the first British gymnast to win a major all-around title.
Ellie Downie won a bronze medal at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships at the age of 15 making her the first British woman to win an individual all-around medal.
Later that year, at the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, she was a member of the team that won Britain’s first global team medal, a bronze.
