Is Sal Bando in the Hall of Fame?

Sal Bando was a Major League Baseball third baseman and general manager. Sal Bando was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2013.

In 2014, he became the first member of the Milwaukee Brewers Wall of Honor, and he will be inducted into the Oakland Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022.

Sal Bando was drafted in the sixth round by the Kansas City Athletics in 1965. He played in 11 games in 1967 and got his big break in the pros when the team relocated to Oakland in 1968.

He rose to prominence as the captain of the dynasty that won three consecutive World Series championships from 1972 to 1974. He appeared in 1,468 games for the Athletics, hitting.255 with 192 home runs and a.776 OPS.

Sal Bando was an All-Star four times with the Athletics, once in 1969 and three years in a row from 1972 to 1974.

Bando finished second to teammate Vida Blue for the 1971 American League (AL) Most Valuable Player Award after helping lead the team to the first of five straight division titles

By 1977, Bando was on the Milwaukee Brewers. He spent the last five seasons of his career with the Brewers. He hit .250 with 50 home runs and a .717 OPS. He retired after the 1981 season.
