American former Astronaut, Buzz Aldrin along with Neil Armstrong, reportedly left an Apollo 1 mission patch on the moon to commemorate the astronauts who died in 1967 during a test of the command module. Alan Bean, who was an Apollo 12 Astronaut, also left behind a golden olive branch to commemorate astronaut Clifton C Williams.

- Many footprints representing the first human activities on the moon. The footprints are still believed to be there today because there is no weather on the lunar surface.
- The Apollo 11 “Eagle” lunar landing model descent stage. It is believed that when the Apollo 11 “Eagle” landed on the moon and lifted Armstrong and Aldrin back to the command module, some parts of the landing module stayed behind.
- An American flag. Some people believe that Aldrin and Armstrong left the American flag on the moon as a form of the country claiming the moon because their people stepped there first. However, others also believe that the Russians were the first on the moon but theirs were not as documented as the US.
