David Crosby, the American singer, guitarist, and songwriter who was also a founding member of both the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash died Wednesday night at the age of 81 on January 18, 2023, after a long illness.

David Van Cortlandt Crosby was born on August 14, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, United States of America.

Five albums to which David Crosby contributed are included in Rolling Stone’s list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.

In the early 1990s, David Crosby appeared as a guest star in certain episodes of The John Larroquette Show. He appeared on an episode of Roseanne and was also on an episode of Ellen called “Ellen Unplugged”.

David Crosby is the father of Beckett Cypher, Django Crosby, James Raymond, Bailey Jean Cypher, Donovan Crosby, and Erika Keller Crosby.

In 1971, David Crosby released his first solo album, If I Could Only Remember My Name. In a 2010 list of the Best Albums published by the Vatican City newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, If I Could Only Remember My Name came in second to the Beatles’ Revolver.
