Graham Nash Parents: Meet William Nash, Mary Nash

Graham Nash, an English-American musician, singer and songwriter was born in Blackpool on February 2, 1942, to William Nash and Mary Nash.

His mother had been evacuated from her hometown of Salford to Blackpool when World War II began. The family subsequently returned to Salford, where Nash grew up.

Graham William Nash is best known for his light tenor voice and contributions to the Hollies and Crosby, Stills, and Nash.

Graham Nash is both a photographer and a collector of photographs. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 as a member of Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and again in 2010 as a member of the Hollies.

In the 2010 Birthday Honours List, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to music and charity.

Graham Nash Nash has four honorary doctorates, including one from the New York Institute of Technology one from the University of Salford in 2011 and one from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
