Who turned down the role of Edward Cullen?

Actor Kellan Lutz revealed that he turned down the role of Edward Cullen in ‘The Twilight Saga’. However, he portrayed Emmett Cullen in the ‘Twilight films’.

The Twilight Saga is a series of romance fantasy films which are adaptations of the book series Twilight written by Stephenie Meyer.

The Twilight series covers the themes of love, sacrifice, and obsession. There are five movies in all: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

The movie is directed by Catherine Hardwicke alongside writers Melissa Rosenberg and Stephenie Meyer.

The story revolves around a teenage girl, Bella Swan who moves to a small town in the Pacific Northwest and eventually falls in love with a mysterious classmate, Edward Cullen, who is later identified as a 108-year-old vampire who has a family of vampires in town.

The series ended with Bella’s eventual transformation into a vampire herself after giving birth to a vampire daughter.
