Julian Sands, a British actor known for films such as A Room with a View and Leaving Las Vegas, has gone missing after being last seen hiking Mt. Baldy in California on Friday, January 13 2023.

According to a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, “search and Rescue crews responded and began a search.” The news comes as storms have pounded Southern California’s mountains in recent weeks.
“Due to trail conditions and the risk of avalanche, the ground crews were pulled off the mountain on Saturday evening,” a spokesperson shared on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
“However, we continue to search by helicopter and drones when weather permits. We will schedule another ground search when the weather improves, and it is safe for our ground crews.”

Julian Sands was last seen in Mt. Baldy’s Baldy Bowl area. Authorities advise people to “avoid that area.”
“It’s extremely dangerous, and even seasoned hikers are getting into mischief. The Forest Service is in charge of that area, and we are collaborating with them on it “The public information officer went on to say.
