Masik began playing tennis at age 6 and turned professional in 2001.
The right-handed former player who prefers hard surfaces, ranked world number 269 on the ATP singles ranking as of 2006. Masik retired in 2008.

On the ITF juniors ranking, Svrcina ranked World No. 8. in 2019, after recording a win at the Australian Open boys’ doubles title, where he played against Emilio Nava and Cannon Kingsley.
In 2021, he won his first Challenger title, as a wildcard during the ATP Prague Open where he was matched against Dmitry Popko.
In the same year, he reached a career-high of world number 334.
In 2022, Svrčina entered his second Challenger final at the ATP Prague Open but lost the game, and reached a career-high of World No. 199.
In 2023, Svrcina made his Grand Slam debut at the 2023 Australian Open. So far Svrcina has won $77,344 worth of prize money.
