Milko Skofic was the husband of Gina Lollobrigida an Italian politician, photojournalist, and actress. Milko Skofic, Gina Lollobrigida’s husband, was a Slovenian physician.

The couple married in 1949 and had their only child, Andrea Milko on July 28, 1957. Skofic decided to leave his medical career and become Gina’s manager because his wife was a successful actress.

Gina, Skofic, and Milko Jr. left Italy three years after the birth of their son and moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A little more than a decade later, the couple called it quits, divorcing in 1971.

Gina’s ex-husband appears to have stayed out of the spotlight after Gina and Milko divorced. Not much was known about him in the years that followed.

Gina Lollobrigida died in Rome on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the age of 95. The 95-year-old underwent surgery in September 2022, to repair a thigh bone broken in a fall.

She returned home and claimed to have quickly resumed walking, but she was hospitalised again before dying. According to Italian media, Gina had been hospitalised for some time before passing away in Rome.

Gina Lollobrigida was one of the last living high-profile international actors from Hollywood’s Golden Age at the time of her death.
