What does Freddy Krueger suffer from?

Freddy Krueger does not suffer from any illness. However, his deformed appearance is a result of being burned alive by the parents of Springwood.

Freddy Krueger’s character has gone on to become a pop culture icon and has made its mark in toy lines, comic books, books, sneakers, costumes and video games. It is even a common cosplay idea during the Halloween season.

In its storyline, Freddy Krueger murders his victims in their dreams causing their deaths in the real world as well. However, Freddy is pulled back into the real world with normal human vulnerabilities and can be destroyed.
