After Benjamin Mendy was cleared of the majority charges, his club, Manchester City released a statement which reads:

“Manchester City FC notes the verdict from Chester Crown Court today, where a jury has found Benjamin Mendy not guilty of seven charges…

Given there are open matters related to this case, the club is not in a position to comment further at this time”.

Manchester City stopped paying Benjamin Mendy’s wages of more than £100,000 a week last year after the defender was charged with a string of sex offences.

Is Benjamin Mendy Removed From FIFA?

Benjamin Mendy has been removed from FIFA 22 while he is awaiting trial for rape and sexual assault.

Mendy will go on trial on January 24, 2022, having been accused of the rape of two women and the sexual assault of a third.

He has been accused of four counts of rape and one of sexual assault.
