The Netflix series Killing Richard Glossip, follows the story of Richard Glodsip, an Oklahoma native who was convicted of Murder.

With his lawyers on their toes, Glossip had continued to declare his innocence, despite being granted a stay of execution on three occasions.

Glossip has been on death row, while his accomplice Justin Sneed was sentenced to life without parole, for the killing of Barry Van Treese on January 7, 1997 at the Best Budget Inn in Oklahoma City.

Sneed’s fingerprints were found in the room, and he confessed to the crime, adding that Glossip hired him to do it.

Glossip’s lawyers do their best to uncover new evidences to prove his innocence, but to no avail.

The TV series is produced by Joe Berlinger and Starrs Christian Troy and Paul Grace.

Richard Glossip is an American prisoner currently on death row at Oklahoma State Penitentiary, following the murder of Barry Van Treese in 1997.

Born on February 9, 1963, in Illinois, Glossip’s case has attracted the attention of the international community due to lack of corroborating evidence.

He is married to Lea Rodger and has got four children, Christina Glossip, Erica Glossip, Tori Lynn Glossip, and Richard E. Glossip Jr.

Glossip is scheduled to be executed on February 16, 2023.
