Philemon Mulala was a Zambian football forward and defender who became a household when he led Zambia to their first-ever trophy win in the CECAFA Cup in 1984. Philemon Mulala was loved by many for his hard work.

Philemon Mulala was the brother of a late Zambian footballer and football technical staff called Philemon Kaunda. Philemon Mulala made six national team appearances for the Zambian national football team and scored three goals from 1984 to 1985.

Philemon Mulala Obituary

Philemon Mulala was born in Tanzania in 1963 and died in his residence in Lichtenburg, North-West, South Africa, on January 7, 2023, at the age of 60 years. Philemon Mulala’s death was caused by three of his dogs who unfortunately mauled him to death.

Philemon Mulala was survived by his wife and other family members.
