Veteran Brazilian surfer Marcio Freire had a net worth of approximately $500,000 at the time of his death.

What Happened To Marcio Freire?
Freire died of a cardiac arrest, after falling during a surfing practice in Nazaré, Portugal, on January 5, 2023. He was aged 47.
The accident reportedly occurred when he used a Jet Ski, to catch a faster moving wave.
Life guards who found him we’re however unable to resuscitate him at the scene.

Who Was Marcio Freire?
Friere was a surfing legend famous for being amongst the first three Brazilian surfers featured in the 2016 documentary, Mad Dogs, which is based on attempts to conquer the biggest and most dangerous waves in the world.
Freire who hailed from Brazil, was known for touring round the world to surf giant waves.
The Nazare wave is said to be one of the biggest and most terrifying waves in the world.
It was in Nazaré that German surfer Sebastian Steudtner achieved “the world record for the biggest wave ever surfed in October 2020.”
