American TV star, Jen Shah, who is known to appear on the reality TV series The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, was involved in a telemarketing scam in 2022, although she initially denied the claims.

Born on October 4, 1973, Shah’s legal story was portrayed in the documentary film Housewife and the Shah Shocker.
On January 6, 2023, Shah was sentenced to 78 months imprisonment for charges bordering on telemarketing fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

She had allegedly defrauded many including the aged people, telling them that investing in “so-called business services” would help them multiply their income.
Shah had said “The only thing I’m guilty of is being Shah-mazing”, after she was accused.
The federal authorities had used that the statement against her, adding that it depicts mockery of the system.
Once shah is released, she faces five years of supervised release.
